These gorgeous baskets are hand-woven by Ugandan women in the local Antebbe artisans market. They are made from a base of bukedo banana leaf stalks which are then wrapped in locally gathered, dyed sweetgrass such as raffia and millet fiber. They are carefully woven over a period of up to two days to produce these incredible, vibrant pieces that are sure to bring brightness and cheer to your kitchen. They are excellent as fruit bowls and also have loops woven into the back for ease of hanging.
